Description
Cassowaries are solitary birds who only come together to reproduce. Females lay between 3 and 8 large bright green eggs in a nest of leaf litter and then abandon them. Males will incubate the nest for 50-52 days, and continue to protect the chicks for roughly nine months. Females will then go on to reproduce and lay eggs in the nests of up to 3 other males each season. Eggs measure in average 9x14cm.
Price is per week of loan.
